We invite you to read and discuss one of Viktor Domontovych’s most famous novels, The Girl with the Bear. An exciting and rather extravagant novel written in 1928-1929. This is a brilliant example of intellectual prose about changing cultural orientations and the tragic split of a person who had to live in a time of crisis. The novel “The Girl with the Bear” touchingly tells about the love between a moderate teacher and his rebellious student. The love story of their hearts is intertwined with the change of cultural orientations and the tragic fragmentation of a person living in a time of crisis.
