UKRAINIAN LIBRARY FUNDIt is with great pride that we announce the re-opening of the Ukrainian Library in Victoria on October 29, 2022. Additionally our newly hired librarian, Svitlana Burlaka, is actively creating story time for children, book reviews and promotion, and is searching for new materials by contemporary authors to add to our current book collection. To keep up to date on library activities take a look at the Ukrainian library Facebook account.

Although we have made great progress we still require additional shelving and workstations. We also want to add new books and materials to support our growing Ukrainian community including the many displaced persons from Ukraine, particularly the children.
SEND HUMANITARIAN AID TO UKRAINEAs the war in Ukraine continues on into the winter months, and key infrastructure is being destroyed, it is as important as ever to provide support to Ukraine. If that is your intention I encourage you to consider making your financial donation to the Canada Ukraine Foundation (CUF), which in partnership with the national office of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, has undertaken an expensive fundraising campaign to provide humanitarian aid in support of Ukraine. Donation options are provided on the CUF website
https://www.cufoundation.ca All three streams are worthy causes, we encourage you to provide support to any one or all of them.
