A celebration of heritage and homeland, the song, dance, and music of Ukraine is performed by eminent national and internationally-recognized artists. Soloists of the bandura, a traditional instrument of Ukraine, along with violin, piano, and opera bring classical and folk music to the stage, along with Victoria’s choir and national dancers.
The concert is a benefit for the purchase of medical supplies.
Located in the territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples. The Lək̓ʷəŋən are represented today by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples include the W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), SȾÁUTW̱ (Tsawout), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), W̱SIḴEM (Tseycum), and MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat) Nations.
